Job Description
Protein Crystallization
What You'll Do:
Primary duties and responsibilities will include development and
implementation
of computational processes for protein structure determination. Other duties
include: Purification and characterization of proteins expressed in E. coli
system, identify and refine conditions for obtaining diffraction quality
crystals, and determining stabilization solutions for cryo-crystallography.
This position requires interaction with P.I.s, postdocs, graduate students, and
Research Associates involved in the project.
Plusses: Actively participate in group meetings. Support the group by sharing
maintenance of equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph.D. in a related field (within the last three years). Demonstrated experience
with computational methods of protein crystallography, protein crystallization
and support of crystallization instrumentation and software. Experience in a HTP
setting working with, troubleshooting and optimizing performance of laboratory
automation instrumentation including crystallization robots, liquid handlers and
plate readers is strongly preferred. Familiarity with computational methods of
protein crystallography, meticulous sample handling, careful maintenance of
laboratory records and good communication skills are essential. Experience and
expertise in protein crystallization and familiarity with cryo-crystallographic
methods are preferred. Good working knowledge of basic molecular biology
techniques especially those involved in purification and characterization of
proteins. Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work and train others in
a team environment are critical.
Plusses: Knowledge of protein expression techniques.

同序列分析有关的都去开公司了，呵呵。
有种不知道是不是错误的观念，
好像国外的生物系作生物信息学的很少，大部分都在计算机系吧
作基因芯片的倒有很多作分子生物学的。
