无论如何 for love or money

　e.g. Years of efforts went down the drain in the relentless
　war.
　例：几年来的努力在无情的战争中尽废(化为乌有)。
　　﹡drain是污水渠，顾名思义，这句是指成果化为乌有了。  

　如雨后春笋 to mushroom
　e.g. With the advent of the computer, institutes offering
　basic computer courses are mushrooming everywhere.
　例：随着电脑的来临，提供基本电脑课程的电脑学校便如雨后春笋
　般纷纷开办。
　　﹡mushroom原意为蘑菇，它是一种生长得很快的植物，所以用来形
　　　容发展迅速的事物。例句的mushroom作动词用，但我们也可以说to
　　　spring up like mushrooms意义跟例句是相同的。  

　同样道理 by the same token
　e.g. By the same token, you should not look down on him
　because he is down and out.
　例：同样道理，你不应因他潦倒而看不起他。
　　﹡token是指象征、标志，例如a token of faith (忠诚的表示)，
　　　此句则与in the same way相通。
